12:00 PM – Arrival at Ichiryu

For guests arriving by car: Park your car and take a stroll through the charming old town.
For guests arriving by public transportation: Leave your luggage with us and explore the historical streets freely.

3:00 PM – Check-in

Enjoy a welcome drink and a carefully selected local sweet in the lobby, then head straight to your room for a bit of relaxation.

3:00 PM – Unwind in a private bath

Relax in one of our three private baths on the first floor:
Miyagawa: Available by reservation.
Araki and Iwabune: Freely available when vacant.
You can also enjoy a bath in your own room anytime.

4:00 PM – Light refreshments and drinks in the 2nd-floor lounge

Spend a peaceful moment in our irori hearth lounge, designed to evoke the traditional atmosphere of Shirakawa-go.
You'll also find a large map highlighting the Hida-Takayama area, sure to inspire your next adventure.

6:00 PM – Dinner at "168-tei"

Step across the street to our sister property for a carefully curated dinner.
Enjoy seasonal ingredients and the chef’s signature dishes served in a private dining room.

9:30 PM – A relaxing evening in the lounge

Unwind in the lounge while watching our original film showcasing the beauty of Hida Takayama on a 100-inch screen.
Step out onto the terrace to feel the gentle night breeze.

10:30 PM – Rest well
Have a restful night to prepare for the adventures of tomorrow.

6:00 AM – Morning bath

Enjoy a luxurious soak to start your day.
Your in-room bath is available 24 hours a day.

8:00 AM – Breakfast at 168-tei

Let our staff guide you to 168-tei once again, where a lovingly prepared breakfast awaits.
Take in the crisp morning air of Hida Takayama as you start your day.

9:30 AM – Souvenir shopping
Visit our first-floor shop featuring handpicked local items, including the same carefully chosen amenities found in your room.
11:00 AM – Check-out
Guests may use the parking lot until 3:00 PM.
Feel free to leave your luggage with us and continue exploring the area at your leisure.
This itinerary offers a sample of how to spend one night at Machiyado Ichiryu, but we highly recommend a two- or three-night stay for an even richer experience.
With Ichiryu as your base, you can explore Shirakawa-go, Okuhida, and many other scenic spots nearby.
